Richard Antenucci has been in the insurance industry for the past 28 years, 17 of those with D&D. He focuses on medical and educational programs, and all lines of insurance.
Peter has been in the insurance industry for more than eight years with experience in agriculture and water and provides insurance consultation, coverage analysis and risk management. He specializes in water and irrigation districts, public utilities, water reclamation, flood control insurance.
Steve Antonino has been in the insurance industry for 34 years and has spent 29 of those with D&D. He specializes in all lines of business and personal insurance. Steve is a graduate of Fresno State University.
Hugh Awtrey got his start in the insurance business over 35 years ago, and joined the D&D team in 2009. He graduated from Fresno State with a degree in Business Administration, and currently focuses on agri-business accounts, crop insurance, contractors and commercial property coverage. He also holds the professional designations of Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Associate in Risk Management (ARM).
Jon Bettencourt has been with D&D for over 15 years, based at our Fresno headquarters with a focus on Commercial Casualty and Commercial Property Insurance. He studied Commercial Insurance at California State University, Fresno, and graduated in 1996. When he is not at the office, he spends time with his wife of 20 years and their three children.
William Brenner has been newly promoted to Manager, Workers’ Compensation Marketing at D&D. As an insurance professional in the industry for seven years and at D&D for almost five years now, Will oversees the placement of all workers’ compensation policies for the brokerage. Will previously served as the lead for Small Business, Workers Compensation at D&D and worked as a junior underwriter at The Zenith Insurance Company.
Since 1979, Jim Buffo has been in the insurance business and has been with D&D for five years. He specializes in bonding, as well as construction and property coverage programs. Licensed in General Contracting, he understands the needs of contractors very well. Jim is a graduate of Fresno State University.
Blake Ellsworth has been in the insurance industry and working for D&D since 2019. As an account executive, specializing in commercial and agriculture insurance, he works closely with business owners to assess their individual insurance needs and find coverages to protect them and their business. Blake has his CWCA (certified workers compensation authority) and graduated Fresno State’s Business Entrepreneurship class in 2017.
Steve Ellsworth joined the DiBuduo & DeFendis Insurance team in 1990. He focuses on all lines of insurance including agriculture, manufacturing, contractors and developers, professional and management liability, employee benefits, life insurance, and long-term care. Steve also works closely with property managers of shopping and office centers, apartment complexes and HOAs. He has been married for 30 years and has three sons, including Blake Ellsworth who joined D&D in 2019.
Manny Fagundes is a producer for DiBuduo & DeFendis Insurance and based in the Fresno office. He joined the brokerage 42 years ago and now holds the title of Senior Vice President. Beyond his decades of experience, Manny prides himself on his strong work ethic and loyalty to his clients.
Since 1997, Mark Fagundes has helped D&D clients in a variety of settings. He specializes in all lines of commercial insurance, including health and medical insurance. Mark is a graduate of University of California, Davis.
Chris Falco specializes in all lines of Business and Health Insurance. A graduate of Fresno State, he joined the D&D team in 1996 and has been assisting clients from our Fresno location ever since.
Originally from Mexico, Jose Fontes came to the United States to study International Business at Pepperdine University. After graduating, Jose joined the D&D family in 2007 and specializes in Property and General Liability coverage, Workers’ Compensation, and all professional lines with a focus on the Agriculture, Private Equity Real Estate, Financial Institutions, Manufacturing, and Automotive industries. Jose is family focused, following in his father in law’s footsteps in the insurance industry, and sharing his life with wife Brittany and daughter Isabella.
Chris Gutilla Sr. has been in the insurance industry and with D&D for more than 35 years, specializing in commercial, personal and employee benefits insurance including construction surety programs. In his spare time, Chris enjoys playing golf and spending time with his wife, kids and grandchildren.

Chris Gutilla Jr. has been with D&D for the past 8 years. He specializes in all lines of commercial insurance, focusing on Hospitality and Habitational insurance programs. Chris Jr. is a graduate of Arizona State University.
Steve Gutilla Sr. has been focusing on Commercial Lines and Workers’ Compensation coverage for his clients over the past 30 years at D&D. A Fresno State alum, he enjoys spending time on the golf course and being with his family when he is not in the office.

Steve Gutilla Jr has been at D&D for 13 years, and was recently promoted to an Account Executive role. As an insurance broker, Steve Jr. specializes in all lines related to commercial insurance. He graduated with his Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture Business from California State University, Fresno and was a recipient of the 2018 IIAB Harlan Miller Award for a young insurance broker with outstanding record of service. In the industry for over a decade now, Steve Jr. enjoys working alongside his father at D&D.
Cheryl Harler has over 20 years of professional experience and has been part of the D&D team since 2011. Since then, she’s led the Architects, Engineers and Consultants professional services program. Cheryl holds a Property/Casualty and Life license in California and is a graduate of both UC Davis and Saint Mary’s College.
Hale “Chip” Holden III joins the D&D family as the Vice President of Major Accounts. With 40+ years of experience in the insurance industry, Chip will play a key role in working with D&D producers and marketing staff on structuring deals for large and loss-sensitive accounts. In previous roles, Chip served as a key executive for several insurance carriers, including The Hartford and Zurich Insurance, and several insurance brokerages, including Aon and Willis North America.
Kyle is a Fresno native who has been in insurance since 2015, selling Property & Casualty insurance with a focus on commercial insurance for construction, towing, motor sports and workers’ compensation. Prior to working in insurance, he was with the Fresno Police Department for 10 years before leaving to work in insurance. Kyle has his CAWC and CLCS designations and is a certified tow operator by the CTTA.
Chad Kiesz is a Fresno/Clovis native who has been in the insurance industry for 5 years and is now a Commercial Insurance Broker for D&D. Chad started at D&D as a Worker’s Compensation Marketing Representative, then a Property & Casualty Marketing Representative, and has now moved up the ladder to a broker. As a broker, Chad specializes in Worker’s Compensation, P&C, and Health insurance for all industries. Outside of work, he enjoys time with family & friends, the outdoors, and of course, golf. With his great expertise and hands-on experience, D&D is grateful to have Chad as a part of the team.
Ronald Lamm has been in the insurance business since 1975 and with D&D for more than 30 years. He specializes in all forms of commercial insurance, including health and agribusiness. Ronald is an Accredited Advisor in Insurance (AAI), Certified Workers’ Compensation Advisor (CWCA) and Vice President at D&D. He is also a past president of the Independent Insurance Agents Association in Fresno.
William Lee has been in the insurance business with D&D since 1995. He is a certified Workers’ Compensation Advisor and focuses on all commercial and property programs, as well as farm, personal lines, life employee benefits and bonds. William is Vice President at D&D.
Greg Loosigian has been in the insurance business with D&D for 22 years. He is a multi-line broker, specializing in agribusiness, food processing, manufacturing, construction and property owners’ programs. Greg is a certified workers’ compensation advisor, and is especially knowledgeable in large deductible programs and all aspects of employee benefits, for both large and small groups. Greg is a Fresno native and graduate of Fresno State University.
As a Central Valley native with a Bachelor’s Degree in Agribusiness from Fresno State University, Clint is excited to develop his career in the insurance industry, serving ag clients and other specialties. His experience as a leader in produce marketing and account management, covering territories all along the West Coast, has given him the sales and marketing tools to translate that knowledge to provide his clients with hands-on customer service, structured efficiencies for their properties, and of course competitive pricing.
George Lucas has been in the insurance industry for 30 years, and has spent 14 of them with D&D. As Vice President and a Broker, Geroge’s job is to provide the best possible service to his clients including cost savings on their insurance premiums. He is a Certified Master Workers Compensation Advisor, which allows him to advise clients on hiring practices, classification review, coordinating with loss control, and claims management to reduce their insurance costs. George has been married for 42 years, father of 4, and involved in service to his parish community.
Michael K. Miller, MBA, CLCS
Mike is completing his 26th year in the insurance industry, and has been with D&D for seven years. His education – earning a bachelor’s degree in Business Law and a master’s degree in Business of Administration from Fresno State – paired with his background in claims adjusting, claims management, underwriting, underwriting management and subrogation management, give him an advantage as he continues to focus on workers’ compensation coverage for larger agricultural, construction and manufacturing clients.
Tom Moshier has been in the insurance industry for 10 years and with D&D for three. He specializes in construction, property, casualty and health programs. Tom is a certified workers’ compensation advisor and expert on the Affordable Care Act. He is a graduate of Fresno State University.
Marshall L. Petersen joined the DiBuduo & DeFendis Insurance team in 1986, and has been in the insurance industry since 1974. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Fresno State, and serves the brokerage as Vice President of Insurance Sales. Marshall specializes as a producer in workers’ compensation.
Debra Puma Duckering
Debra Puma Dukering has been in the insurance business for 28 years and with D&D for 27. Though she specializes in all lines of commercial insurance, she focuses on employee benefits programs. Debra is President of the Ministers of Presence Guild, and board member of the Fort Washington Country Club Women’s Board, California Association of Health Underwriters, LARS and Littlest Angels. She is a graduate of Fresno State University.
A Fresno State graduate, John has been in the insurance industry since 2011. His specialties are in commercial lines and risk management, helping his clients and their businesses get the most value out of their insurance dollar. Outside of work, he enjoys time with family & friends, the outdoors and the occasional round of golf.
Paul Wieda has been a financial advisor for over 38 years. While at D&D for the past 10 years, he has assisted clients with succession planning, buying and selling arrangements, employee compensation plans and pension and retirement planning. He is a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and Accredited Estate Planer (AEP), to name a few. Paul is a graduate of The American College of Financial Services.
