Workers’ Compensation Claims Specialists

Katherine Sullivan W.C.C.P., C.P.D.M., Suzanne Richardson W.C.C.P. and Becky Castro are the Workers’ Compensation Claims Specialists for DiBuduo & DeFendis who function as liaisons between employers, claims adjusters and agents to ensure effective, timely claims management.

For our workers’ compensation policyholders, we are pleased to offer these services:

• Technical workers’ compensation claims management solutions and recommendations to employers and claims examiners.
• Training of employers on claims management issues for optimal claims resolution and maximum claims savings.
• Assist with development of Return to Work programs in coordination with the workers’ compensation carrier.
• Develop medical provider panels by location for employers to ensure appropriate, cost-effective medical treatment for workers’ compensation injuries and ensure medical control.
• Communicate all aspects of First Aid.
• Participate in and conduct claims reviews.

Katherine brings to DiBuduo & DeFendis over 27 years of experience in workers’ compensation claims. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration/Insurance from California State University, Fresno.

Becky Castro

Becky has more than 12 years of worker’s compensation claims experience that includes claims adjusting. Becky is also a bilingual professional proficient in Spanish.

Suzanne Richardson, WCCP, CPDM, WCCA

Suzanne has 27 years of workers’ compensation claims experience that includes claims adjusting.

Important Reporting Notice for Employers for 2013

Employers with 11 or more employees in the previous year — except those in certain low-hazard establishments in the retail, services, finance and real estate sectors (list of exempted establishments, can be found at: View Information — are required to maintain records of work-related injuries and illnesses and post the summary of their records for calendar year 2013.

OSHA currently requires employers to fill out the OSHA 300 log per location and the OSHA 300A: Download PDF The Form 300A must be displayed in a conspicuous place or places where notices to employees are customarily posted. Companies with no injuries and illnesses in 2013 should post the Form 300A with zeros on the total line.
