Workplace Violence

California’s Senate Bill 553, signed into legislation on September 20, 2023, by Governor Gavin Newsom, requires California employers to take steps to prevent and respond to workplace violence (California Labor Code 6401.9). The mandate requires employers to have a site-specific workplace violence prevention plan and to provide training to their employees.
